Recommendations for daily maintenance of semi-trailers

News, 2023-02-11

1. Tire inspection:
The tire pressure should be checked at room temperature every month. If it is lower than the normal standard, the tire pressure should be replenished in time. The air pressure cannot be too high or too low, otherwise it will affect the driving safety. Check the cracks of the tires. If there are safety hazards, the tires should be replaced in time. When choosing tires, the models should be consistent.

2. Battery maintenance inspection:
Check whether the battery is firmly fixed. The electrolyte should be between the upper and lower limits. When it is close to the lower line, the electrolyte or distilled water should be added to the high line in time. Keep the positive and negative cables of the battery in good contact and keep the battery clean and dry. For vehicles that have been stored for a long time, the positive and negative cables of the battery should be removed, and the connection should be reconnected after about half a month. Start the engine for about 20 minutes. If the power is obviously insufficient, charge it in time.

3. Check the clutch master pump fluid level:
If the clutch fluid level is between the high and low levels, it means that it will be difficult or impossible to shift gears when the engine is running normally. Please go to the nearest maintenance station for inspection immediately.

4. Check the brake fluid level:
If the brake is between high and low, it means it is normal. If the brake fluid is close to the lower limit or below the lower limit, it means that there may be leakage in the system or the brake shoe is worn too much. You should go to the maintenance station for inspection in time. When adding brake fluid, pay attention to adding the same type of brake fluid to prevent damage to the leather cup, and pay attention to protect the paint to prevent corrosion of the paint surface.

5. Check the engine coolant level:
When the engine is in a hot state, never open the radiator cap, otherwise you may be scalded by splashing coolant or high-temperature steam. After the engine cools down, check the coolant level should be between the full level and the low level, otherwise add distilled water or pure water or refrigerant, and the liquid level after adding water cannot exceed the full level. If you find that the coolant is reduced quickly in a short period of time, you should check whether the cooling system is leaking or go to the maintenance station for inspection.
